RAINBOW WARRIOR
Directed by Edward McGurn

On July 10th, 1985 French secret agents bombed Greenpeace’s flagship The Rainbow Warrior while it was at port in Auckland, New Zealand. The mission, codenamed Operation Satanic has been called one of greatest intelligence fiascos in history. It is a story at times more reminiscent of a Pink Panther film than a spy thriller, involving atomic bombs, false identities, cult members, brawls at sea, personal grudges, political coverups, escapes on nuclear submarines, the sexual escapades of a playboy spy, and much much more, all brought to light by an intrepid journalist and a former Scotland Yard detective. It’s the inspiring true story that put Greenpeace on the map and ended nuclear testing in the Pacific – as told by those who lived it.
